Enjoying
work - design is what counts. The expression of new way of
thinking. The X-Form provides room for development
-without sacrificing solidity. Refreshing composition of materials;
brushed steel and sand-blasted glass. A design to simply
enjoy!
After weeks of looking for something distinctive for our conference
room, the idea was clear. If we wanted something cool, we had
to do it ourselves. And who better? After all, we are a design
studio.
Our style is more inclined toward the plain, sleek, modern
and definitely uncomplicated. Having that as a reference it
occurred to us that a combination of steel and glass couldn’t
be more appropriate. So, steel and glass it was. In trying
to keep the minimalist appearance of glass and steel, we came
with the idea of the X-Form.

A
very simple shape, yet sturdy and very attractive, the X-Form
pedestals were designed by interlocking to single X-shaped
sections at a 90º angle. Once secured, the X-sections
were drilled and secured with 1/8” thick octagonal-end
steel brackets and 5/8” bolts and hex-nuts. The tabletop
consists of a 5/8” clear 8’x 4’ piece of
glass with square edges and a sandblasted stripe. The result:
industrial looking steel and glass elevated to the realm of
visual pleasantness and design boldness. |
